Residential Specialist

As a Residential Specialist, you will be responsible for providing quality support services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. You will serve as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team by overseeing and assisting residents with various activities. Help the residents accomplish activities of daily life and help them gain their independence. Responsibilities:  Coach residents with their personal hygiene, dressing, general household duties, etc... Show off your culinary skills in the kitchen as you help residents with shopping and meal preparation Teach residents medication management skills while complying with NH State regulations Have a little fun, help residents participate in community activities and events Provide transportation as needed 2nd and 3rd shifts available. Willing to train! Experience: 2 years of related experience that provides an individual with an understanding of mental illness. Prefer 1-year experience in a mental health setting Required Skills: Must be able to become med certified through Agency procedure within 90 days and must maintain med certification according to WCBH standards. Excellent organizational and communications skills Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and use Agency systems. Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to relate to staff, clients and community around a mental health system.. Physical Requirements: Must meet qualification of specified TB test. Ability to access all Agency sites Ability to lift, push and/or pull 10 lbs. Other: Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance; and excellent driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain Agency and/or State of New Hampshire required background check(s) Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain that confidence Be a part of our team.
