What You’ll Do as a Medication Coordinator

  • Support and oversee residents’ self-administration of medications in accordance with training, policies, and regulations.
  • Manage medication systems, including receiving, organizing, packing, and monitoring medications, refills, and PRNs.
  • Maintain accurate medication records (MARs) and documentation within the electronic health record to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with clients, treatment team members, prescribers, and pharmacies regarding medication needs, changes, and renewals.
  • Assist with scheduling medical appointments and communicating relevant updates to the care team.
  • Monitor for medication errors or discrepancies, ensure timely reporting, and support corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist with staff training, competency support, and medication-related education in collaboration with nursing and leadership.

 Schedule Details
  • Full-time position
  • Primarily weekday schedule with occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed.
  • Flexibility required to support program and emergency staffing needs.
  • Travel between locations and occasional overnight training may be required.
What You Need to Join Our Team

Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in direct care or supporting adults with mental health needs.
  • Education in a human service–related field
  • Working knowledge of mental health diagnoses and person-centered care
  • Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant or comparable experience
  • CPR/First Aid certification
