Heather Whitfield Joins Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as Senior Vice President, Commercial Portfolio Manager

Manchester, New Hampshire – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is pleased to announce that Heather Whitfield has joined the Bank as Senior Vice President, Commercial Portfolio Manager. In this role, Heather will strengthen the Bank’s portfolio management efforts, supporting the continued success and health of the Bank’s loan portfolio. Based in the Bank’s office in Manchester, NH, she will work closely with businesses across Northern New England to ensure ongoing growth.

Heather has over 35 years of banking experience, with a strong focus on commercial lending, credit underwriting, asset management, loan review, and business development. Most recently, Heather served as Senior Vice President – Commercial Loan Officer at M&T Bank, where she managed a significant loan portfolio for commercial clients in Southern New Hampshire and oversaw all aspects of lending and client relationship management.
 
Heather served as an active member of Families in Transition's Board of Directors, including terms as Chair and Vice Chair of the Board. She also served on board and committee roles for several organizations, including Housing Benefits, a subsidiary of Families in Transition; The Granite YMCA; Special Olympics New Hampshire; and Heritage United Way. She is a graduate of the Greater Manchester Chamber’s Leadership Manchester program.
