ARIS Solutions Invites Community to Create Lap Blankets for Veterans in Need
While the holidays may be over, winter’s cold lingers and so does the need for warmth and connection. ARIS Solutions is proud to participate in a community initiative to provide handmade lap blankets to veterans living at the White River Junction VA’s Continuing Living Center, the VA’s long-term care facility.
The project aims to collect at least 24 handmade lap blankets, which will be gifted as Christmas 2026 presents to veterans who do not have local family. Each blanket will serve as a symbol of warmth, comfort, and remembrance during the winter months.
Community members and ARIS Solution’s staff who knit, crochet, quilt, or sew are encouraged to contribute. So far, a total of 16 blankets have been crafted and donated. There are no requirements for size, material, or design. All handmade blankets are welcome, and creativity is embraced.
“Each blanket represents care, gratitude, thankfulness, and community support,” said Elizabeth Lundberg, Executive Director at ARIS Solutions. “These gifts are a continual reminder to our veterans that they are not forgotten.”
