Pay Range: $24/hour to $36.50/hour + bonus and/or incentives.
Britton Lumber Company has an opening for Inside Sales personnel to help grow the sales team in Fairlee, Vermont. The Inside Sales Representatives assist existing customers with product sourcing, information and pricing over the telephone and in emails. Strong candidates will be success driven and bring a competitive, can-do attitude while also being able to operate in a team atmosphere. Opportunities for the successful candidate to grow into a product manager is also available. It is also important that this person can build relationships with customers and that these customers see them as a trusted resource.
Britton Lumber Company, LLC, is a well-established regional building materials wholesaler, supplying products to retail lumber yards and home centers in northern New England. Our primary location is in Fairlee, Vermont with an additional distribution center in Gray, Maine. The wholesale division distributes a variety of building materials including roofing, lumber, gypsum, fasteners, insulation board, plywood and other related product lines to retailers in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Northern New York, and portions of Massachusetts. We also have a manufacturing division located in Bath, New Hampshire which produces Eastern White Pine. Britton Lumber has been a family run business for eighty years.
Position Responsibilities:
? Answers and directs telephone calls
? Solicits customers to increase daily sales by shipping zone
? Provides pricing and information to customers and Outside Sales personnel
? Enters quotes and orders into computer system
? Assists with special orders
? Identifies construction activity in the market area
? Solicits potential customers in an effort to service their specific material needs
? Covers existing accounts and opens new accounts for these projects
? Assists in purchasing material requirements for newly acquired projects
? Continuously improves their product knowledge and selling skills
? Builds long-term relationships with customers through outstanding service and commitment
? Must be an articulate and motivated customer service professional
? Able to handle 50+ inbound calls per day ranging from: sales entry, customer service, technical questions, and identifying additional sales opportunities
? Have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and act as a trusted partner for that customer
? Possess strong communication skills, verbal and written, self-discipline and organization
? Computer knowledge, must have the ability to learn industry specific enterprise software system
? Have excellent problem-solving abilities
? Preference of some college education and/or previous sales experience
Pay depends on experience.
