We are a respected regional nonprofit developer and owner with a growing portfolio across Vermont and New Hampshire. Position Overview The Chief Financial Officer is a senior leader and strategic partner to the Executive Director and Board. The CFO ensures the financial strength and integrity of the organization and oversees financial operations for the parent nonprofit and its 20+ affordable housing limited partnerships, including development and operating properties. This is an opportunity to apply financial expertise in service of meaningful community impact. Key Responsibilities • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. • Present financial reports and guide development, financing, and refinancing strategy. • Oversee accounting, annual audits, Form 990, internal controls, and GAAP compliance. • Manage cash flow, grants, restricted funds, and investor and lender reporting. • Direct financial operations for 20+ limited partnerships and ensure LIHTC compliance. • Oversee banking, insurance, HR, payroll, IT systems, and supervise finance staff. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred. • 7–10 years of senior financial leadership experience; nonprofit or affordable housing experience preferred. • LIHTC experience strongly preferred. • Strong strategic, leadership, and communication skills.
