We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Records Technician with experience working with medical records and audit preparation. The individual will also provide coverage to front desk operations as needed.
Basic Responsibilities (partial listing):
Processes requests for patient record information ensuring protocols are adhered to and patient confidentiality maintained.
Compiles information and prepares various reports for upcoming audits and fidelity reviews for internal and external audits.
Records emergency room and hospitalization alerts and informs appropriate staff.
Reviews medical record discrepancies through collecting and analyzing information.
Generates and reviews reports to track completion and entry of client demographics, emergency contacts, PCP and pharmacy information.
Provides coverage at front desk: gather and update demographic information, schedule appointments, prepares form letters.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Relevant work experience in an office setting
Experience with electronic medical records
Required Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, preferred
