UVYP Group Hike to Mt. Tom

About the trail: Head out on this 2.8-mile loop trail near Woodstock, Vermont. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 22 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. **The trail is mostly gentle switchbacks. The final .1 mile is more technical. Please bring proper footwear depending on the weather. However, if you are uncomfortable with technical hiking, or being close to a ledge, there is a false summit before the technical section where you can sit and enjoy the view.

Parking: There is ample parking in front of Faulkner Park. Address is 34 Mountain Ave, Woodstock, VT 05091

Lunch: After the hike, we'll get soup and sandwiches at Splendid Bakes on the Green in downtown Woodstock.
