Join us for a jam-packed day of fun at the River Valley Club’s Grand Aquatics Re-Opening Celebration on Friday, March 29, from 5am - 6:30pm at Centerra Parkway, 33 Morgan Drive, Lebanon, NH 03766.
After a full year of work on the RVC and FitKids Childcare campus, the $8M renovation is complete. Five (5) new pools, double (2x) the number of racquet sports courts, and adding three (3) FitKids classrooms have created new opportunities to expand the innovative programming that community members have come to expect from the River Valley Club.
Central to the celebration on March 29 is the Champagne Ribbon Cutting at RVC’s new Aquatics facility, kicked off by District 2 Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington at 12:15pm on March 29. Day-long activities celebrate RVC’s 26 years in business serving the Upper Valley community since March 22, 1998. On this day only, Club day passes are reduced to $10 and the membership sign-up fee is cut by $395.
Our three (3) new Aqua Motion pools are a unique feature of RVC’s architectural design, with state-of-the-art filtration pumps and the capacity to run at speeds from 0 to 99 in water resistance. Each of the 3 pools may be reserved for individual use, or for use with one of our elite, certified personal trainers. Users choose between three temperatures at 90*F (Aqua Motion pool 1), 78* (Aqua Motion pool 2), and 84* (Aqua Motion pool 3). The large Main Pool contains salt water for optimum health. With depths from 3’0” to 6’0”, the Main Pool is kept at 84*F, and is perfectly suited for games, group exercise classes like RVC’s popular AquaFit, and free social swimming. Aqua Motion pool 1 and the Main Pool are mobility accessible by a ceiling motor lift, for independent use or with an attendant. The Cold Plunge easily seats four (4) users at 54*F. This pool is a game-changing active recovery and muscle growth tool for use after working out anywhere in the Club.
New FitKids Childcare classrooms opened December 1, expanding from twelve (12) to fifteen (15) classrooms, for ages 6 weeks to pre-kindergarten. Additionally, FitKids Afterschool and Vacation Camps have been added for Upper Valley working families with children ages 5 to 10 years old. New programs partner FitKids’ New Hampshire certified childcare professionals with RVC’s credentialed fitness professionals. These experts combine skills to foster a play-based educational experience including tennis, pickleball, swimming, rock climbing, and other activities such as homework and arts & crafts.
The eight (8) new outdoor pickleball/four (4) tennis courts will open as weather permits. Using video analysis, players can track data such as stroke, ball placement, and ball speed, for immediate review and improvement after play. As well, certified professionals can provide detailed feedback on technique. The courts are lit for evening play and feature spectacular mountain sunsets. Outdoor pickleball socials with food, drinks, music, and more are planned for the summer.
