Introduction to Woodworking: Bandsaw Boxes Big and Small at AVA Gallery

Thursdays | November 16 - December 21 (no class 11/23) | 6 - 9 PM

This course will cover the safe use of the power tools in the AVA woodshop to cut, surface and create a wooden sliding top box the participant gets to take home. If time and interest allow, a wooden knob can be turned on a lathe and bandsaw boxes crafted as well. This class is ideal for beginners, anyone interested in the subject matter, or getting to know the AVA woodshop.  $90 Materials Fee applied at checkout.

Dave Shinnlinger has been the woodshop teacher at Mascoma High School since 2005 and was The New England Association of Woodshop Teachers “Teacher of the Year” in 2019.  He has overseen thousands of woodworking projects and is looking forward to helping you create something of your very own.
