South African cellist Jacques Pierre Malan joins pianist/Artistic Director Daniel Weiser in this thrilling program highlighting the folk influences in music for cello and piano. They will perform the passionate Cello Sonata by Edvard Grieg filled with Norwegian tunes; Piazzolla’s amazing Le Grand Tango; and the little known, but very exciting, Five Pieces on Georgian Folk Themes by Sulkhan Tsintsadze. Malan came up in the fall and thrilled audiences with his powerful and lyrical playing. You will not want to miss this very exciting concert!
