Have you ever thought of writing a novel in retirement? Can you tell a good story? Can it become a book? Here is the journey Tom and his wife Mary Martz took to self-publish their spy mystery novels. Tom will describe the process they used to develop their stories, how Mary challenged him to write, how he struggled to write and overcame the obstacles to publication. Tom will describe how he and Mary created the ideas for their books. He will explain their writing process, complicated by dyslexia and limited technological expertise. He will describe the difficulties of finding an editor and designers for the book and webpage. Lastly, he will share mistakes made and the rewards of overcoming challenges to self-publishing. The class will consist of lecture and class discussion.
