Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park present an evening of family programs in collaboration with the Springfield Telescope Makers. Activities include a dusk nature walk (7pm-7:30pm), drop-in science and art activities (7:30pm-8:30pm), an astronomy presentation (7:30pm-8:30pm), and stargazing with telescopes (8:30pm-9:30pm). Attending a night sky viewing event comes with some etiquette conventions that may be unfamiliar to first-time attendees but which enhance viewing conditions for everyone. Most importantly, bright, white lights are discouraged at night sky viewing events. Red plastic will be provided to filter white flashlights. Please note the event will take place at Blow-Me-Down Farm located on Beaman Drive off NH Route 12A in Cornish and NOT 139 St. Gaudens Rd where the park's visitor center is located.
