Art Hearts: Gel Printmaking with Shapes & Botanicals Discover the joy of mindful making in this gel-printing workshop inspired by the simplicity, harmony, and handcraft traditions of the Shakers. Drawing inspiration from Shaker “gift drawings,” such as those made by Polly Jane Reed in 1844 in Massachusetts, we’ll explore how heartfelt symbolism and creativity can help you make your own unique prints. You’ll experiment with layering techniques using botanical elements, geometric shapes, and heart-centered motifs to create beautiful monoprints to keep or to share. No experience is necessary.
