Lifeguards + Water Safety Instructors

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Current Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR-PR/AED/First Aid Certification required or equivalent. ABILITY TO: Ability to recognize and respond to emergencies through knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques. Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations by activating the Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Administers aid in accordance with certification standards. Actively guard and scan the pool area; refrain from socializing or anything else that is distracting. Communicate and enforce all CCBA pool policies and rules in a personable and professional manner. Sets up pool in accordance with the schedule and number of participants. Attend and participate in in-service training and meetings. Provide a welcoming environment for all patrons. Document any incidents and/or injuries and notify supervisor immediately. Maintain communication with other Aquatic Team members and your supervisors. Arrives prepared and on time for work. Able to assess a situation and make an informed decision independently. Ability to work as a team with other lifeguards, facility staff and management. “The CCBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
