Teller Supervisor

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To represent Sugar River Bank by projecting a professional image thru actions and appearance.To provide supervision, guidance, training and mentoring for tellers.To capably assist customers with all Bank services and products and to proficiently assist them with questions and concerns in regards to their account(s).To be a role model in leadership by demonstrating world class service through performance and attitude.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide exceptional service to our customers by adhering to all service standards.Look for and capitalize on opportunities to continually expand the Banks relationship with each and every customer. Provide outstanding internal service and be a valued, supportive team member to all fellow associates.To adhere to all policies and procedures.To understand and adhere to all retail compliance regulations.
 
EQUIPMENT USAGE: Computer terminals, calculators, printers, official check printers, copiers. Coin/currency machines, telephone, credit card-cash advance terminals, and other equipment as need be.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
 
Perform all essential functions of the Teller II position.
Create professional correspondence. ie: written, verbal, and listening skills.
Arrive timely to prepare for the activity of the day and, at the end-of-day, ensure department is properly closed down (confidential papers locked, vaults locked, cash drawers secure, etc.)
Prepare daily and weekly schedules for lunches, comp-time and vacations to ensure adequate coverage.
Control cash management of teller line: a. Responsible for cash vault(s). b. Verify that daily cash limits are followed. c. Audit cash drawers and vaultsd. Do timely orders and shipments of currency and coin.
Designate work flow to include but not limited to mail, night drop bags, filing.
Assist in Department weekly meetings.
Complete Bankers Edge courses in a timely manner as required.
Assist tellers with any overage or shortage of cash errors, sign all GL tickets and report any error of $500+ to the Security Officer immediately.
Supervise the process of end-of-day functions, including but not limited to: a. Cash Advances b. Balancing of teller drawers and vaults c. Ordering of supplies
Supervise the ATM operation: a. Daily balancing b. Cash Supply c. Trouble shooting d. Be on the after-hours call out list..
Administrative responsibilities: a. Maintain incident records throughout the year for each teller for annual evaluation. i. Resolve personnel problems in a timely manner. ii. Prepare ninety (90) day and annual performance evaluations. b. Make recommendations in regards to staffing. i. Status upgrades. Hiring. Terminations
Be available to tellers for assistance in explaining and executing Bank policies and procedures.
Be proficient in all retail regulations. a. Reg. CC Funds Availability b. Reg. DD Truth in Saving Disclosures c. Reg. E Electronic Funds d. BSA Bank Secrecy Act (CTR, MIL, OFAC, SAR) e. FDIC Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Coverage f. Reg. O Extension of credit to insiders g. Reg. D h. Reg. GG. i. Privacy/GLBA Reg. P j. USA Patriot Act k. Fair Credit Reporting Act. OFAC. Check 21.
Knowledgeable with on-line functions of the bank to include Net Teller, Mobile Banking, On-line banking functions.
SECONDARY DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
Be cross trained to open basic checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposits and safe deposit boxes on Platform.
Be knowledgeable of all retail products and services and have a working knowledge of our consumer and mortgage loan programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
