The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) took effect on Jan 1. Under this new federal law, many private companies will be required to file a report including limited liability companies(LLCs - even one person LLCs), corporations and limited partnerships. Each state has it's own variations on who is required to report, and then there are 23 federal exemptions as well.
Join us for an information online presentation from UVBA member Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC to learn what types of businesses are required to report under the CTA, how often, and whether your business falls under a state or federal exemption.
Our speakers are:
Mary Parent, Chair of DRM's Business Law Group. Mary Parent has over 20 years of experience working with a wide variety of businesses to advise them with respect to corporate, commercial, and transactional matters inside Vermont and New Hampshire and nationally.
Shannon Lenzini, business law attorney and is a key member of DRM's New Markets Tax Credit team.
