Join exhibition co-curators Evonne Fuselier and Jami Powell for a tour exploring the ways artists respond to, appropriate, and critique popular imagery from visual culture in what is now the United States. Highlighting works such as Ed Ruscha’s "Standard Station" and Jaune Quick-to-See Smith’s "The Rancher," among others, this tour will focus on the ways artists incorporate familiar symbols in their works to interrogate consumer culture, settler colonialism, and environmental extraction. Free, but space is limited.
