DESCRIPTION:Upper Valley Music Center's Suzuki program presents the annual Suzuki Showcase concert featuring music from across the ocean. This concert features more than 100 students ages 3-18 performing on cello\, viola\, and violin\, plus special guest balafon master Mamadou Diabate as the culmination of an educational residency. The concert will bring together Mamadou Diabate's tradition of West African music from his home country of Burkina Faso with other world music traditions\, classical repertoire\, and American fiddle tunes. This event is the culmination of UVMC's Sing & Play Festival\, a celebration of music-making in our community.
